Harald's death revisited
I chance to come across all the info I have on Divine Harald. Not only did I no know that I'd written that much, I also didn't know it was Jan. 7 of last year. So, that's when I was really looking at the site big time, the Movement and all and the founding father of one particular charismatic movement that got Pat Boone and Pat Robertson to start crooning their respectve holy wars.
So, you can see, given Robert's total hate and narrow view of the world to automatically call him a traitor, bully pulpit, biggot, what have you.
And then I traced Harald to Mt. Vernon. That's where he was for some time. And where I'd take the train to the year I taught at St. Joseph's Catholic school, 8th Grade, the Bulfemonte's, Sebastion and what not. And then, through the year, a lot of posts from admirers and such. Sadat and some piece accord but he was just bubbling along, being charismatic, you know.
I think I did post some of the letters but what was even more helpful was that I have part of what J had said in his internal monologuing which he was doing to try to better engage his prelate.
The text below from last year.

this is the first linkup this year. it felt good to have pix sent by P Jeremy. I'm a little concerned about the tee-shirts they wore--they had the church's logo on the back.
and a couple days ago, I came across their website. they got rid of the Baby in the Manger motif for something new and completely different.
because now I'm more in the stead, I'm more casual in my perusal but can't help but feel always a little Jim Jones type movement.
a little suspicious, shall we say.
but again, there's an overture, of sorts. so I've lowered my guard.
let's see, well I happen to click on the latest. there's another website that you can click to. and now I'm just thinking how this guy's name is Harald. and i immediately fired a condolence, tying in the irony of him falling down the stairs a day after Christmas ((I'm thinking here of Mike Walsh, partying at brother Danny's house and leaning up against the door that swung open to the basement and how he cracked his head and died instantly) and how, a couple days later, died peacefully.
i can't point and click, but it says, "We are so blessed to have him as part of our lives and our church for the time that he was on loan from God to this world. We will miss him greatly, but we are excited that he is the place he has been looking forward to for over 70 years. (I'm thinkin', this mornin', "hey, that's Harry's name. I wonder if he has the O missing and an A taking it's Place. or did he change it. or does he give a flyin' fuck?) Keep his wife and children in prayer as they grieve the loss of their father and husband. This Sunday, we will be showing a tribute video to honor him and the contribution he made to this world. Harald was 88 years young. For more information on Harald and his ministry, go to www.HaraldBredensen.com. To watch video, click here.
of course, one i got started typing, I couldn't help but continue,, I was so mesmerized by the words the flow of thoughts that seemed to exude from the pages like dollops of water--looking inviting at first, but growing more violent and contained with each reading. but now, this is my third impression. now it's colored 8:35:25 AM by this being my third look at the site. at first, i was struck by the fact that he went down with bleeding in the brain. rt. away I fired off an how ironic is this that the very Pastor Jeremy became as such because of another bleeding in the brain.
It came back and I said the heck with it. But really it was so ironic. 10/18/07
On December 26, Harald fell on his stairs, fracturing his skull and causing bleeding in the brain. On Wednesday, December 29, he
died peacefully at approximately 10:05 AM Pacific time.

James Jeremy, Feb was just about the coldest mo. but that's when i went back to the Powerhouse. you were gone by then. you had only a couple months left before you were gone for good. how could ever think of those days, living in the cramped apt. just across the street from the house your ma grew up in.
be that as it may, I had a tough time cuttin' the mustard at college--and needed some quick cash so off I went, back to the hall and Jim Cahill took one look at me and sent me out again.
I gotta put those most recent posts in:

CURRENT SERIES
We have just started a new series, " A Whole New Way to Life” in which we are looking into Jesus statement that says to “seek first the Kingdom of God”.
Let’s face it, we all want to have a good life. Many of us want to have a “great” life. Jesus’ words are stating that there must be a connection between seeking the Kingdom and this great life that we are all looking for.
What does it really mean to “seek first the Kingdom?" What is this kingdom? If there are promises attached to seeking this kingdom…how do we do it?
Come join us as we explore the various ideas that could open up one of the most important scriptures in living a life of over-abundant joy and peace!

well, now I gotta pitch my V day groove. I just remember it was a Sunday and Mary and I went to see Kerry and Jeremy. I bought this bottle of wine at the Prestige. it was my favorite stopping place. it's when Walshie was still alive. I reme buying this expensive bottle of wine as a day present. so I went to the 2nd floor apartment just across the street from where Kery grew up and with Mary as a guard, as as a foil, i tired to win some grace. I remem going in the bedroom. i remember looking at the bed that was bought with IW money from the softball game. Mary had delayed Kerry in the other room so I was able to dig through the new dresser, and look with a mixture of regret and disdain at the bed. I think there was a letter in the neatly folded women's wear. Maybe, I don't remem.
I tried the wine. Kerry or Mary wouldn't drink and I remember how i drank part of it and it tasted like Ripple. or Boone's farm. I don't reme much else, just how bad the wine was.
and then I left. I don't think there was much of the spark of three-way co. I'd intended. I do think it's probably the last time Mary has ever talked to or seen Kerry, for that matter. Oh my, that's more than 30 years ago. That's so wild. Like, these are the last words I'm going to say to you ever again. well after more than 30 years, it has some moment.
oh, my golly, that's what I wanted to input. It couldn't have been too much longer after that that i went to the IW hall and Jim Cahill sent me out. I want to send him a copy of my book. My unpublished book. Well, I'm making some headway. I've dropped two copies off at the Local 21 Hall. Rojo, said, no, he hasn't had a chance to get into it. That's o.k. I dropped the other one off for the Sioux City Local which I found out from Rojo as of lastyear, is no more. Well, he'll give the copies to someone.
A copy to Jim Cahill. and Rick Dryden. Coming right up
I'm back to the movement. it's a little more polished, has some more features. I'll see if i can post J's blog.

this I like a lot, the below. It brings a voice...
ok so ya
ya so...
things are groovy.. life is bueno.
on the church related funk:
spoke about Desperate Sex Lives this last weekend. Man, after reading the connection cards this weekend you would think that the entire world is involved in sexual immorality.
Whats up Jesus? I don't understand all the bondage...I don't understand all the heartaches. I'm spent and broken for my church... come Lord, intervene.
As for other things..lots of rad things are happening in small groups. I am so stoked on where we are at right now. It's like a completely different church from the last couple months and a HUGE answer to prayer. Thank you God...
I really liked what Jobey shared with me the other day.
During a gathering the other day, he saw the side of our building and it looked pretty ghetto. I mean, c'mon, you know how theMovement building looks. And he was kind of discouraged. I mean, it could look so much better ya know?
Anyway.. then he felt like he saw a vision of being on the freeway. And there were two exits coming up ahead...
One said...
theMovement....exit
and the next one said Hell...exit...
And the Lord showed him that we were the last exit before hell.
In a subtle moment theMovement began to make more and more sense. We are continuing the work of Jesus. We are moving towards Christ and calling all to come to Him in His name.
We just may be the last chance for so many.
I praise God for the few hundred people that have said they want to follow Jesus in the last year... may we always be the last chance saloon.. rescuing people from the grasp of Satan.
I love you Lord...our building isn't old and dirty..
to you.. it's Holy.
Amen.

so ya
oh my God, it does post.
well, I have a big assignment to do. I hope I publish. Geitner had to say no o my most recent essay.
I'm pretty upset. I have been writing journals for about 20 years now and this is the first time I've actually placed my thoughts on the web. Something about writing out your thoughts digitally just loses a little bit of personality. Maybe it's because I can actually PRESS harder when I'm writing with a pen or draw silly things around words, etc. Either way.. I'm upset, however, I'm over it now.
.pastorally speaking.
The Slot Machine Jesus
I've been pastoring this tribe called theMovement for almost 5 years now. We are currently going through a rebirthing process so to speak as we forge our identity and who God is calling us to be as a culture of people longing to see the power of God move.
It's almost as if it feels like we are this huge overweight body that knows that it needs to get in shape and start living again. Not that we are dead...quite the contrary...but that if we keep sitting and getting fat (i.e. more people coming, more people not moving otherwise known as people moving in but not within) soon we will start becoming unhealthy.
We can be the most fantastic "experience" on a Sunday morning but what does that say about life in Christ all week long? In dreaming about a church I have always seen a body of believers that were committed to Christ and committed to His cause.
So what's His cause? Put quite simply: advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth.
How does this happen? Through His church... you.. me.. us! When hundreds of people are showing up on a Sunday.. my main question is - how can these people experience the fullness of Christ in their daily lives? A group of people that aren't content saying "oh, THAT church..." or even, "oh, I like THIS church..." but more like.. "this is MY church and I am a part of us...you and me and the guy sitting next to me. Not yours, not mine. Ours.
I mean seriously, the whole idea of losing our concept of self and getting on with the things of God is a humbling concept. It requires nothing less than death.
It is then that we are made alive in Him.
So anyway, I see our walk with God and our connectedness to His body as vitally important. It's the peanut butter to the jelly. The Luke to the Bo. The P to the Diddy. Yo.
So if we continue to get fat (people coming) and not working out (people becoming like Christ) we will eventually get fat and become unhealthy. How do we advance the Kingdom of God? By serving one another, loving one another, encouraging one another, bringing living water to those dying of thirst.
In a word: united.
So I felt the Lord has been impressing on my heart to challenge those that are coming to theMovement by asking them to commit to two things: 1 - to Christ 2 - to His church. I envision a lot of people that long to be involved and connected but either don't know how, some might be scared, and some might need a little push. So we invited those standing at the front door into our living room. We called it "Movement Essentials" and it began last Wednesday night.
It is my prayer that as we connect to Christ and to His body that we will experience the fullness of who He is through our lives. In the end, we will ultimately be changed through His power. When we become a community of people serving and caring for one another, Christ is completely on display in our lives. After all, we are in this together. God is calling us out to become more of a part of Him by being a part of each other. These are exciting times!
So last Wednesday we had the place packed with people. There was momentum in the air and people are excited to begin stepping out and into what God is doing through each of us. It was awesome. Cheers.
However, as one would expect... there are a few types of people that are having a hard time with this idea of connecting and being a part of our church, more than just mere attendance on Sundays.
The first type of person is the "ICU" person. This person is going through some hard times in life and really needs a church that is loving and can help them through some of their issues in life and come alongside and care for them. These people are a part of every church and should be treated with love and compassion but with a soft hand of warning to remind them that life is not about staying in the hospital but that God is calling them towards health. In the beginning, their primary job is to get healthy.
The second type of person is the "transplant". This person maybe just started coming to our church either from another church or just moved into the area. They can't really get connected yet because they don't know if this is where the Lord would have them be committed to. They need to get planted somewhere. Roots don't take long to start showing decay. Their primary job is to find some soil and get planted.
The third type of person is the "consumer". This person has no intention of being connected nor has any desire to give back to the community that is giving them life. They are Christians that simply are looking for what is in it for them and nothing else. They are completely happy with their level of involvement in the body which includes and is limited to: attending.
It's the third type that drives me nuts. Often I find myself thinking of the biggest bridge I can jump from. For Christ's sake, of course.
Consider a conversation I just had recently with someone at our church.
"Pastor.. I love attending here. I have been here for about 6 months and love coming to this church. But you said that if I am not going to get involved here that I might as well not come back. Did you really mean that?"
Keep in mind that I did say something like that. I basically said "If you are a Christian and you have been coming to theMovement but have no desire whatsoever to get involved, you might be better off somewhere else."
So I asked this person... "why do you like coming here?" They replied.. "well I really love the messages.. every week I am convicted." My next question was...
"Convicted to do what?"
I am thoroughly convinced that our primary mindset is to be served. I understand that. However, it is when we come to Christ that our desires begin to be replaced by His desires through us. It is Christ who we are becoming.. not some glorified, hyped-up version of ourselves.
This mindset of coming to a church to be "fed" and to leave with nothing more than just a seat that has been filled is mind boggling to me. I mean, after all.. wasn't us coming to Christ about us losing our lives to gain...life??
I am starting to think that some people view them merely showing up on a Sunday has fulfilled some obligation, as if them showing up at all was their part. Their contribution. "Hey Pastor.. what do you expect.. I'm here!"
To me.. its about advancing the Kingdom of God on earth. Right? And instead of advancing the Kingdom people merely want to chill in it.
Well, the last time I checked.. you can't crash the party in hell if you can't even get off your seat.
In the world: I go to Starbucks, I stand in line, I pay my cash, I get my drink, I leave. No one asks me to do anything.
In the church: "I drive to church, I sit in a seat, I pay my tithe, I hear a message, I leave. Don't ask me to do anything. After all.. it's my life.. not ours.
Just leave me alone and feed me. I want to get blessed."
I guess to some people...Jesus is a slot machine.
The thing is.. we don't have any slots at theMovement. Some of us in ICU, some of us getting replanted and the rest of us ready to rock the planet for Christ.
Amen?

we got ourselves an update: with the bible banger quote below. but mostly, the3se last few passages of moments as I quel my nervous disturb about getting a TOC done I'm thinking now of Kathy Hohnenstein How they ran into a snow on their way back home. and the car got stranded and they went off in the ditch and left the engine running.
I was thinkin' yesterday, did one of two of them stay awake while the first went off. or did they all go off together. and then i thought the guy running the maintainer. how he came across the stranded car and then, as he went further and further, drew closer and closer, he saw their bodies were in there and then the worst possible thing that he could ever see happening, lovely teens buried in the snow.
No, i didn't think anything about that, really. I knew she was close to Mark Bousquet, even though she was a year ahead of him and in my grade. Mark i think had to stay back a grade. and he was pretty strong and all the Bousquets, there dad Oreleus taught them to fight tooth and nail, pull the fists out and start punching away--it didn't matter one wit to them. they'd just start swining. and so mark was crushed.
and then Jerry O'Neill didn't quite make it home, falling on the street behind his brothers house and froze to death. I'm thinking now that some of these folks never go to see the spring thaw. dying in NE Nebraska. I'm sure Jerry remem Kathy. as we all do. i think it is her sis that runs the little ice cream shop on Jackson's main street. I think i talked her briefly a little bit ago. we all still remem Kathy, just like it was yest. and Jerry O'Neil, now he was a glasses wearing cocky stud. we didn't have that much truck together but I knew of him,i think he dated a couple sh gals. Maybe one of the Probst twins, Marie, i think. but he didn't make it either. didn't make the spring thaw.
and now we try to make it through the winter, always bundled up. and you'd think that Kathy would've had better sense. crack a window, or something. or the boy they had with him. don't leave the car running in the drifts, the snow blocking the exhaust, the pretty white snow a killer.
but we have to see what inspirations are visited on the movement.
well, another passage of time is that shortly after v. day, when i made the disastrous visitation at the apt. with sis Mary, it was my second attempt to recoup during a holiday. no, it was my third, we gave the ole Christmas a wing ding. and then, of course, the red raven. well, not try v day.
no, the point I'm ryin' to make is that I went out to the IWhall. I think I'd called Jim Cahill at his home in Dakota City. and he said come by in the morning. and sure enough, there was a little slip of paper stuck to the door.
i was back out to the powerhouse.
We are currently going through our series, " A Whole New Way to Life” in which we are looking into Jesus statement that says to “seek first the Kingdom of God”. We are focusing now on some of the parables Jesus taught in order to teach us the things of the kingdom.

James Jeremy, I address this to you directly: was it that time you were at Barnes the baby sitter. Well, the young lady said that she would go to court and testify against your mom. I think I'd picked you up. something that Kery was doing upset her. but this is of not huge moment: i went back to the powerhouse. I just remember that one day it was so cold that we all got to go home. i of course, worked in the tunnel. this was the shaft through which the coal would go through. we had to set some screw and iron or something. i really can't remember. I think we got to go home and 2.
Well, these are some of the things that I still, even after all these years, remember.
well the reasonj I'm pitichin in is because your are pitching in: your website again has had an addition. now it seems like a daily Bible quote.
Daily Bible Verse

On my word. the portrait of the artist again. and who is he? well Jobie has "his dad's" art work. i said earlier, you can pitch my small essays that have appeared in the O W-H. and then some of the other things I sent in Jeremy's direction. well, who knows? Oh yes, I just want to say that YESTERDAY I was in such a state as I sent a contents ata galnce and a one page overview to Lindsay. Yes, that is so close to being published that I ever have been. let's just say I was plenty nervous, perhaps overwrioting..
there's just so much writing I'bve got to do. but I'm glad I've stayed alive, can write, oh yes, and then, while I got a decline on my latest essay sent to Geitner, I still get a personal reply and encouraged to keep writing, keep submitting.
anod other writing contests.
I'm got a chance to get accepted. I don't know how close I am to this. Well, it is that needle in the haystack?
well, I did click on a link: I can't believe how it's spreading like a small prairie fire: we have:

Kevin has been serving at theMovement faithfully for the past couple years within our College and Career gathering as well as in our Sunday School. Kevin, who was brought up in the mission field in Mexico, will be pursuing his passion of missions as he goes to Costa Rica for, as he puts it, "at least a year, probably a lot more." If you would like to read up on where they are at, check out his blog.
as you can see, there is a plethora of changes...the movement was fairly stable for eyars. but now it's moving and expanding.
and now I got to post an e-mail and then get to work
From an email sent to Jobey on February 18th:
What´s up there Jobey wobey and Hello from Panama!
Dude, seriously what did I get my self into!? Hahahaha! I´m one week into my adventure, and I can honestly say this is straight up the gnarliest thing I´ve ever encountered! I´m writing you from the OM training base here in Volcan Panama. I wanted to get back to you as soon as I could, being that I´ll only have email access for another day or so. I am getting a blog/website up and running here just as soon as I can back to Hi-speed internet. I´m straight up in the sticks, or should say leaves down here. I´ll be in Panama participating in OM´s Mission Extreme program until early April and I left my laptop in Costa Rica for safe keeping. I´m using the base´s 1972 Dos-running dial-up internet computer, I bet I could hand write a letter and have it to you before this email gets there.
Anyways, I´ll be deep in the jungles until April, but just as soon as I can get back up to San Jose, I´ll be able to get everything dialed in. By that time, I´ll have more pictures then National Geographic after I get back from the training program. Let me give you a small insight on how extreme this training course really is...
First off, I´m the only white guy (gringo) in the course; there are 3 Panamanians, 2 El Salvadorians, and 2 other guys from somewhere I can´t pronounce, and they all speak Spanish. This last week I´ve been in preparation classes for what the next month and a half in the field is going to entail. This Monday morning we´re leaving the base for a 6 week, hands on, up close, straight up crazy trip to go live and witness with 3 different indigenous tribes here in the Caribbean jungles of Panama. Since Tuesday morning, I´ve spent countless hours in the local clinic getting physically prepped for what ever diseases and sickness the jungle can throw at me. I´ve been injected, inspected, detected and neglected, and no part of me has been untouched!
But after everything is said and done, I can´t wait to get started. I guess I really didn´t know the significance of how a cross cultural experience of a missionary really is. Living in Baja for so many years with my parents is nothing compared to this training course and what it entails. The basis of the course is truly incredible and how it brings a person closer to God. Jesus´s mission on this earth was designed with a meaning. He wasn´t born in a palace or some luxurious temple, he was born in a mainger, with animals and smells. Jesus lived among his people, and without complaints. Jesus could always adapt to the culture to where he was, and where he was ministering. Jesus also fed himself as a Jew. This teaches me down in Panama to eat what the tribes offer, and with the joy of the Lord in my heart!
Jesus also used nature to teach the disciples and the crowds that came. We, too, are being taught to use nature to witness and share our testimonies. In the Bible, many verses talk about Jesus praying and depending on the Father for strength. This also teaches us to seek the Lord for our own personal strength to endure the elements of this beautiful, yet hazardous, land. This course truly teaches one to love, serve, and respect the people we will be encountering. Just as the Lord was conscious that his sacrifice was coming, we, too, are learning the same mindset. As I set out these next few weeks, I just ask the Lord to guide me, protect me, and teach me.
I also continue to ask for your prayer support, and the prayer support from theMovement, for what the Lord is doing through my life, because it is by no means easy. But I seek the Father for my strength, as I know he has plans for a new man after this is course is over. I´ll have the blog page done just as soon as I can get back to Costa Rica, probably some time in April. I know you just wanted to drop me a line, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share with you how the Lord is already working through my life and the lives I´m connecting with. If you could please pass this information to the rest of the staff I would greatly appreciate it, as I look forward to staying in communication with my home church. I will be out of email contact for the next 6 weeks, but will contact you then with a full update.
Thank you and Dios te bendiga!
Senor Kevin Cook
well, you can see how diffuse and maddening it all is. and I used to carry same. how did I know i as going to be a great writer?
Febr. Ash Wed. 21
I thought I'd review how the ahses is in vogue but I didn't go as I have not a spot of time.
thought I'd go to J's church: i just wondered, seeing how close it came to the Catholic Tradition, that this was now 6 weeks of fasting:
we'll pinch in below.
Beneath Current Series we have bleow. I don't know if this is different.
I'll also be interested how much it ties into the liturgical calendar, how much their church (churches?) follow suit. It's like someone gets an idea and then runs with it.
We are currently going through our series, " A Whole New Way to Life” in which we are looking into Jesus statement that says to “seek first the Kingdom of God”. We are focusing now on some of the parables Jesus taught in order to teach us the things of the kingdom.
Come join us as we explore the various ideas that could open up one of the most important scriptures in living a life of over-abundant joy and peace!
well, it's four weeks, I see. so that puts them right around Palm Sunday. I'm not sure if there's much of any link, there.
That's when i started working iron agin. just half the man, as the song says, I used to be.
and then last night, the judge said, no, the attny said, it didn't matter if the killer was corrupt, he still had his parential rights. none were afforded me.
but that's okay==we move forward. brain damage amongst the rest of teh madding crowd.
crown, it said, crown you with thorns.
speaking of which, the vision that God gave Jeremy, I see It's Christ on the Cross. Well, it's kindofa grab bag Christinaity.
it's the Crucifixion but they don't folllow through with any other, any more of the precepts. tho, reviewing yest. the churhc in ireland, i see the prieset and the bishop so there defi is some spill over and, shall we say, "movement."
Daily Bible Verse
"Judge not, that you be not judged."
Matthew 7:1 (NKJV)
well, it looks like a daily biblbe thing.
above is todays. yes, that's what I forgot. I'd gone to New Orleans in '74 with Tom Sherlock. Puncing our way all the way down. i remmeber pulling up in front of the midway bar and off we went.
Febr. 28
I dont' know what I'm thinkin' or where my head is at, why i quit the chronology.
i wake up to a bible thump, a bible bang. you can bank on it.
Daily Bible Verse
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)
i have got to post this dribble. I just heard this morning from a gal from south aftrica who juist wrote a book about all these missionaries coming to change their way of life, givng them names, and what not. and I part of the church grouping, which i posted above, it seems like they are taking their zeal elsewhere, spreading teh word like a flame.
I just had to record this. I like the poem mike game to today, that he pulled out of my writing.

well, this is a surprise. but I'll send it on.
March 1 2007
I did sent it. I got no response. I'll get no resposne.
and now, for our daily bible bank.
Daily Bible Verse
Every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
Hebrews 3:4 (NKJV)
well, let's just say I was goin' full bore at the powerhouse.I was startin' to get myu legs under me. and then, away she went. standing before some house. Peeny Wheln. or Potter, or something and she was in a car that was just the same as the one that got our family around for so long when I went trhough h.s. and that was the last time I saw her and Jeremy. actually, i don't remember seeing Jeremy. and she lied and said she wasn't leaving for a couple days. but she took off that night. and i called from the Prestige and Maddie said she'd taken off. i said i was goign after them. you do and i'll have the heriff after you.
but, theyindeed were gone.
and then Jeremy came back that summer and that when i think mcginty moved in and barb was two mos. pg. it was no concern of his. he didn't care a white.
but it was Telemechus, waiting for his father. and James Jeremy found our father.
March 2
well, i def. got to come across that bookthat talked a bit about the cross section of Joyce wihthomer and I got something downthere in my office
enough of the malingering:
today's bible bang:
Daily Bible Verse
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
actually, it's like opening up a hymnal. that I remember the kind and honorable priest work on the edge of his hand like a daily reminder.
well, we did make it past Feb. and now I have to implore you to keep your eye on the prize becasue this was when God paid another visit and told me not to work anymore.
wonderful and talented James Jeremy...how little time we had together but, that winter, when I worked with you, in the heartbreak hotel, teaching you and having you crawl to me and talk to you I hope that was words enough..
well, like our writing friend Mike well, there needs to be some grist there.
and, yes, indeeed, the backgrop of course is Lyunch and the state tourn and we gtalked about how riddle was making his way into the leadership position, standing with the team, ilke he was some kinda crowning jewel but he kicked the young kid in the head and it didn't work out....and the black and white photo of Kath at Dan and Katy's so large on teh ocuch with Dylan pregnant and they got rid of me..
audrey wanted that dryer hose...i'm going to find that address and right them a letter.
this, of course, predated Gonzo and ironwork when i Ricky Ryberg saw me walking that 6 inch iron and saying"I don't mind if you walk the iron, just make sure it's welded so it don't run on ya: and Jerry Sullivan saw me walk the iron too and lokked up at me, in partial amazement. and i'll never forget his strong body over mine steadying the prefab.
more grist for the miil...no, JJeremy, you took the easy way out but then you battled the suitors and set out on a voyage all your own....i hope you likd the poem....and then, like I said, Jobey wil ahve his dad's art work and you will, in turn, a true portrait of the artist, mine.
second Mar input
well Joy said it was a bike accid--calm but then his personal really changed.
i e her and talk a little bit
i thought it wa another bang but it wasn't..
amp it up.
March 3 07
I made a great brunch today and worked out for the first time in I don'[t know how long. But i like the run I did the ohter day.
okay, today's bang:
Daily Bible Verse
I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.
1 John 2:12 (NKJV)
i don't know who or what picks these out. I click last night on bio of pastor Jeremy but Jobey shows up. so that means Jobey is Jeremy and Jobey is Jobey.
How intersting.
I saw, irionicaly, in a plaintive tone, "My dad's art." like I said, ther will be the time when JJeremy will ahve "my dad's books."
March 4
it's starting to melt, just a smidgen: and now i think of how I always took the long bus ride to school and would look out over the fields and would see how much of the snow had diminished. I'd check on it every day: it was my own mental calendara. of course I was just looking to have the time when i could get into the fields. and pull the old 70 John Deere trator out of hibernation.
but now, today's bang: well, now above the bang, it has the all: change the world.
so yes, they are apostates, they are missionaires. go yea and ....
Daily Bible Verse
On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.
1 Corinthians 16:2 (NKJV)
but little did i know in early mrch that I was about a month away from james jeremy leaving my side a good part of forever.: and, me so much in charge of teh affairs all these years, could do nothing about it. shurely, there was something I could do ambout it. but, i was like I was both physically and mentally and physilogically paralized.
but the snow finally fell out of the drifts and I was able to get back into the fields. and so, green shoots did emanate from the soil.
March 5 Monday
I have to pound it down. Now I'm thinkin' of Tony Hale. How he lost his brother Dennis. How he suddenly became the oldest brother
but let's now harken to today's BB gun, Bible Bang:
Daily Bible Verse
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9 (NKJV)
Lent is a note in passing.
Tuesday March 6 cldy
well, it's a cloud day. I scooped out Jackie's icecapade. I thought of the tough ole gal in NYC, the retired nurse who would always greet me cheerily on the sidewalk. of course the snow was icepaced. and she fell and broke her hip and was confied to the bed and died shortly after. so i took my poker and chopped through the ice to make a trail. i had no sun to help me, as i did yesterday. in fact, i'd wait unti the sun creeped over the house and exposed some of the snow. and then i went to work. i sloshed it out there on the stereet. a couple motorists drove by. one gave me a splendid wave, as did Al. finally Jackie came out and said, "what are you doing" and then said thank you. the one guywith a black service truck I'd waved at before and who didn't return mnie went back and forth and i waved at him. i didn't look to see if he returned it. or not'
adn then, about 4 o'clock, i herd a rumbling down the street, comign down hill, of an engine. and i had to step out and there it was a johndeere tractor, maybe a 4833 or so, with a mechanical front end, looking bright and shiny. with a red bucket to push the snow and he was able to moved it fairly quickly, i could see the john deere englinse the exahust pushing the ilttle flap up and down when he turned and then stated straight out when he roared up the street.
i waved by hedid't return it.
hell brother, i'll show you how to run a tractor. and then thought the other day how dad said Jerry said his loader had broken down and had to borrow dad's which was up at Bohl's, one of the fields we have, and he was, dad said, buiring some stuff.
you got a lot more power when you own the land.
now, todayu's bible bang:
Daily Bible Verse
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV)
I gotta see if they are connected with that screwball dobson. i heard about him last night on Freh Air. I know ole brain dead then dead Harald kicked the bucket right after chirstmas that Robetson and him were chummy.
and that's where all the money comes.
but then, i though, just like me, Jeremy has to spread the message. like Denny, trying to spread thye ump message--except it's like a wall that he can't climb or penetrate and it is the power of the pen greater than the sword.
I'm, still njot asking the right questions, especially to an ump that showed up sun whose daughter plays select.
I failed the test. always in 70's. well, actually it was 74. which means I missed 6 over the limiot. but that's good, because it lets me concentrate alot more.
I read the bang and it's all fitting and wonderful. i just wonder who selects, they probl;y alternate. i got a post and pix from Jeremy but I haven't talked to since Bren was born--more than 10 years ago.
he said he hardly has a chance for his real family..but, say Kery, what's it like when you no longer have control and you have to ache with a bit of hurt that something you want you can't have.
but she stayed with me in the hospital and to that I owe undying gratidude.
March 7
it's cludy out there today this early a.m. but Bren punchesh is bike to school. loike he did yest. he slipped and slid in the snow. it will toughen up for future endeavors of mtn. climbing
I was sooo interested in Mr. Keller's Masks: i can just imagine the project that was involved. the acquiring of paints and materials. and then made it to teh library. that was well laid out and fairly hot. but we leaned and listened and learned as the video rolled on.
i think how there was another tribe of lady'sthat hailed Cheryl as she exited stage left from the gym to the library and they were all in a little room planning or squawking over something.
and i just thought how glad i dont' have to teach, how it was def. not in it for me...to have to go through all the eyars the same school....
well, now to visit our daioy bang as Cheney is shaken from his rafters and soliders die cuz of Bush lies.
Daily Bible Verse
For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
well, that's all in good but why is blood shed so condoned, violence able to wreak havoc?
Kath and I ran through the list of why I didn't go down. how a new worker her dad suddenly died 50 years old of a heart attack. and Dan Fogerty...how he just sat up and then went down, a massive heart attack.
God bless them all. especialy dan and Don Herrinton our Eternal Umpire-in-Chief.
well, i guess we're not qutie finish yet"
Start now as we are going through our series, "A Whole New Way to Life," as we explore the teachings of Christ. We are currently looking into the parables and what Christ would have us learn through them.
I Believe: Watch one of our first videos as you hear and see what we were up to in 2003. Watch closely for Harald Bredesen, as well as an empty warehouse that we now call home.
Offering: This was an early video we did for our 2003 Grand Opening (one of the four Grand Openings we had). It was used for a sermon on Diversity, one of our three core values, and went on to become a song that impacted our family far beyond this video.
Who is Jesus?: This was a video shown during a series we did on the aspects of Christ. Very simple, very raw.
Baptisms: 2004: See a collection of video of a few of the baptisms we did in 2004.
First Day: A video montage of our very first Sunday at the building we now call home. Were you there? This was September 20, 2003 at 1370 San Marcos Blvd. Empty warehouse, pile of dirt in the back, gaping trenches for future bathrooms, plywood bridges over those trenches, scaffolding for stage, grocery carts and wheel barrels for monitors, and porta-potties outside. Ah, yes, the good 'ol days.
the Man: a funny little video about hot sauce...very hot sauce, and the people who tried it. The point? Sin starts off not so bad, and gets worse and worse. It always keeps you longer than you wanted.
theMovement Christmas Carolers: check out the commercial for this exclusive offer on our cassette and 8-track of our world infamouse "Movement Christmas Carolers."
Maddox on the McGintys: See our friend Steve Maddox, now the pastor of Oasis Bridge in Oceanside, as he gives a little personal insight on Jeremy and Jobey McGinty from the days that he was on staff with us.
March 8th clody
ilove it when bren rides the bike to schoo. he's tuff and strong and gets him ready for the future.
todays bang:
Daily Bible Verse
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
it amazing how diffuse our lives are, not intertwining at all. well, i sent the poem. and I didn't get a response. well, dear Kerry, how do you like it when thye're so far away. no, you've injured self beyond measure but I thanhk you for each day for taking care of me.
and this is when we watch the drifts slowly melt away so that green finally begins to appear.
March madness on the 8th
i noticed another little tid bit which acts as a tease
Last Sunday we started a new series, "Everyone," in which we look at the heart of God for all people to belong, be known, and to be involved in the life that He hopes for them. Last Sunday's message was "Everyone's Invited." Watch the video of our friend Jon Stalls as he shares his experience in how a simple invitation business card has changed his life.
This week: "Everyone's Important."
well, it's on him, I'm thinking, his stance towards his father. there's something disingenous about the whole affair but really, can you blame him? his mind coached for years on how to deny, deflect, defame....this too, shall pass.
Well, everyoen is invited.
March 9 2007
take the ladder down to Debbie's. water coursing into her basement. done with Jim's shoveling.
Central wins. they pulled away in the second half.
Bryan lost a heartbreaker. there's K and A's times on the NSAA website for the record that they pulled.
the days of yore, the days of glory
now today's bang:
Daily Bible Verse
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.
James 4:1-3 (NKJV)
March 10. when will my nerve return to begin cuing up mymost special day. prior to heart procedure. and dr. Brown, this eyar, is on the ropes, sus. for a mo. over some medical malfeasance.

today's bang for the buck:
Daily Bible Verse
A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.
Proverbs 18:2 (NKJV)
it's just that dobson and his ilk tend to skew way off the beam.

oh yes, it was good to see Bobby Hayes there. youwonder if he ever thingks about billy and, that day on the farm walking beans, I'd see the hayve boys go by...adn how so diff. they wound up.
and cetnral won, as well.
March 11th no, they didn't understand the story. Jack was positively irritated. i was so much into looking at his wife who smiled steadfastly at him as praise was being extolled on his work. which I thought wa a tad boring.
Mike loved it and there was other high praise but, the shocker was when Mike read the poem he'd crafted out of my poet. and, do you know what, it moved me to a slight tear.
now, what do you think that stemmed from. i'm gonna send it to the NYER in the a.m.
and tues, e Geitner, whose identity i revealed to Dan Reynolds who said, "i'd like to write some stuff for them."
the day's bang:
Daily Bible Verse
In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.
Psalm 62:7 (NKJV)
well, so it goes. they seems to be alot of feeling scripture. i think his kids looked a little strange in their movement teeshirst, like tehy were going to step into some airport anjd pass out psalms.
March 12
dedicated to a daily tribute/tribe
well, Jeremy, there's alot of tension when it comes to us writers. i said to Kath, they aren't writers, i'm the only writer. but then i thought and said that that's what all the writers are saying!
Daily Bible Verse
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV)
oops, I almost forgot...below is slightly new
We are currently in our series, "Everyone," in which we look at the heart of God for all people to belong, be known, and to be involved in the life that He hopes for them. The message on Sunday, March 4th, was "Everyone's Invited." well jj, hyou''ll never, who woulda thunk. i'm trundling out there to get my paper, halfway up the sloping small driveway where the guy with the short black pickup likes to throw it out the window in the mornint, and i hear a van coming fast down peterson drive. i look closely and it's almost at the intersection of the street and i'm shocked to see it's a Hiller Van! off white, muddy, mod new, the usual extension ladder orange straped on the front. he or she was a waistin' no time. it was about 6:30 so the driver had probably a ways to go to make the 7 a.m. call.
and we're just days away, literally hours a way from March Madnes. what a good sign to send my text to Lindsya...the shortenned version, therin.
the bang:

Jeremy, I feel so close: two things. I told Lindsay with e on Wed. that I'd have toc by Fri.
so many inordinate th ings transpired. i jist couldn't git to it, couldn't git past 3 chpt. then i snooped around and found that i have, after i'd started toc #3, that I had laid it much further out. what a life save.
the second lifesaver came I was plowing furtively away, making little if no headway and then, last night during B's practice, and a little bit before, I'd read the umpire manuals. it had such clear and already written info. I was purt near able to copy it verbatim and type in as I plucked away. and then filedi n the blanks and I never ever would've been able to explain as much as I did unless I had that book to go on that covered so many facets.
Now, is there a market? i tried to evince the notion that baseball was thousands were in need of this book--the international bent, the travel teams as phenom, the explosion of gal's softball, the kid umps as authoirty figures and entrepreneurs. well, that's what I think is what means this books is so meant to be published!

oh yes, a good presupposition...i went and got the air in the tire of the wheelbarrow which i knew was deflated from trucking down a few loads of dirt from bob who is moving. well i saw how they were able to spirit the wheelbarrow all the way to the crick and dump it...
it was good preplanning... the hose had no power and i even went in there and asked if it was on and she info'd me it was but the second time was a charm and I was able to fill it full of air.

i sent to writing contest today, barely making the deadline. I'll try to get Portrait up and running and send Daltion as ss as well as this manu by June to their atten..this is the back of my mind of what I wanted to do. and then got a touch nervous becasue the day's were clicking along and not only was i havin' trouble with umpire, I wasn't moving to get on Portrait..Dalton took me a tad bit longer than I thought, marshalling to 13,000 words. i was toying with the idea of inserting it but then I found Golden State and I think will bring that needed tension that let's the reader move away from any confustion to follow the passage of this parti arist.
the bang. i see where Pat Boone and his ilk sing a song for wally world and then Robertson is linked to Harald and thats where that really wired and weird chaos spin resides

March 28, 2001...Entertainment Night and "Take a Hike" this weekend...
This Sunday night at 6pm we'll be having an "Entertainment Night" to hang out and have fun. We'll be having music by Elysian Sky and the Breax, as well as magician Smoothini performing some jaw dropping tricks. Come prepared to be amazed.
below is a recent post from one of the forums
I actually came onto this forum looking for ways to spread what you term, "prophetic evangelism". God has put something inside me to seek ways to reach out to others, but I just don't know where to start. He told me in a dream years ago that He wants me to be a leader and make a difference in this world. This dream has been on my mind for years, but I've never done anything about it. And now the Lord is telling me, "It's time!". It's good to hear Pastor Jeremy and others remind us of our mission as Christians, "to reach out". I think it would be so helpful for the church to come together to provide resources and ideas to reach out. I would love to be a part of this, so please let me know if there's anything I could do! Your posting was very insightful.
March 30

First Day: A video montage of our very first Sunday at the building we now call home. Were you there? This was September 20, 2003 at 1370 San Marcos Blvd. Empty warehouse, pile of dirt in the back, gaping trenches for future bathrooms, plywood bridges over those trenches, scaffolding for stage, grocery carts and wheel barrels for monitors, and porta-potties outside. Ah, yes, the good 'ol days.

Daily Bible Verse
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:6-10 (NKJV)

We had an AWESOME time celebrating the resurrection of Christ this past weekend. We saw so many people come into a new relationship with the Lord, and we are so grateful to having been able to be a part of that. We look forward to where God will be bringing us as a family into this next season of life. This weekend, we will be starting a new series this Sunday at both our 9 and 11am services. We invite you to join us in this journey of real life and real joy.
